After winning the Illinois Women's Press Assn. award, MatchDotBomb went on to win first place in the National Federation of Press Women's Communications Contest. There will be an awards banquet at NFPW's national conference in Idaho Falls inSeptember, 2008.

MatchDotBomb: A Midlife Journey through Internet Dating was awarded

1st Place in the Nonfiction Book - Biography & Autotbiography category in the 2008 Illinois Women's Press Association's Mate E. Palmer Communications Contest. The judge said:  

"This is a very well-written tale of a woman's experiment with online dating. It's sure to ring true to any woman (or man!) who has tried to find a mate through cyberspace. I enjoyed the sharing of the author's story very much."
